MSSF™ INSIDER PRESEASON REPORT

Last Week

1. HIT IT DEEP (0-0)

- Let's face it, entering the season after an undefeated Championship Season, it's a no-brainer to 'assume' that Manager Miller and the bunch will be back to defend their title.  And even though we hear the team may not quite be the same team a season ago, us writers here agree that we can't take their #1-ranking away just yet.

N/A

2. DIAMOND DAWGS (0-0)

- Manager Fisher has seemed to finally lock down a consistent group of ladies to go with that sensational group of guys, which is going to make the World Series II runners-up even more of a contender in Season TRIIIPL3™.  Returning are Tom Fox and Aubrey Pruitt who are monsters on the field. N/A

3. SIMPLY AMAZIN' (0-0)

- Wow!  Talk about some recruiting efforts. If we had to predict (based on paper) our next World Series Champion...how could we not pick Simply Amazin'.  With former MVP and Gold Glovers, the Whites now on board, along with returning Female MVP Natalie Coats...wow!  Also, Marcus Cole, who stayed retired less than a month is back and with a super hot rookie in Mark McLoughlin, this team will pose trouble for a lot of opponents. N/A

4. ROMBO DIABLOS (0-0)

- It starts to get a bit trickier now.  The Diablos despite playing Dow Jones ball last season (up and down), they finished strong and gave fans and analysts promise that they have finally arrived.  A late turnaround in Season II and the return of Manager Miller and Marcus Fogg should be good for the team.  And Carlito wants you all to know he is more excited about the return of the Diablos than any other team. N/A

5. BLUE STREAKS (0-0)

- The Blue Streaks are running a very close second behind the Diablos, because at least we've seen the Diablos beat some good teams...on the other hand, the Streaks crush the weaker opponents, yet get demolished by the better teams, so the pattern shows.  Manager Dickerson suffered a bit from the female position last season and rumor has it that she will be missing several key female veterans, so this team could be attempting to gel, while other teams have already gelled.  Could be trouble. N/A
6. TRI-CITY TARHEELS (0-0) - Sooner than later the Tarheels will be contenders ... last season showed us this team can play with anybody and we all remember that classic against the Royal Flush, not to mention they almost knocked the Dawgs off in the playoffs.  Against the remaining teams, we have to give the experience edge to the Heels, but if they stay in the Top 10 will depend on the team's play.  They bring back a host of returners so that experience will help tremendously. N/A

7. BALLS DEEP (0-0)

- Without any preseason scouting, we're going with our gut here.  Our reports show this team has several seasons experience playing with each other (although this is the MSSF™) and from what we know about some of their personnel (from Flag Football), this team SHOULD be a early competitor. N/A

8. CAROLINA ALE HOUSE (0-0)

- Some of our scouts actually watched this team take it to a male league team for about 3 innings, then things seemed to unravel a bit.  Not in terms of chemistry, but ultimately the males simply overpowered the ladies in the end.  Based on that, we're putting them at 8. N/A

9. CAROLINA HIT MACHINE (0-0)

- Although the Hit Machine has a great deal of experience entering this season, with a host of Season I Rainmakers and veteran Cyrus Berdan, their histories haven't been very kind.  However, the experience the team does have, makes it a bit easier to rank them higher than some teams we haven't gotten a look at just yet. N/A

10. CONSERVATION OF GREATNESS (0-0)

- First of all, we're going to have to find a way to abbreviate this name.   You're killing our format...LOL!  Manager Connors and the COGs (nice!) get the edge here. The team has to be well managed in order to be a new team and according to the Front Office extremely organized...that's a good sign. N/A

11. ARSENAL (0-0)

- Will Manager Thomas finally get to play a full season?  Things haven't fared to well for the speedy Thomas since entering the League in Season I, but this time he says he's leading the bunch and that will make the difference.  A few unforeseen personnel issue keeps us from ranking this team higher. N/A

12. BALL HOGS (0-0)

- We get a feeling the HOGS will bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the MSSF™.  How good they are, well that's the mystery question.  They've played together in the past, so that's good start.  Other than that, they'll just have to prove to us they are not the 12th ranked team. N/A

13. TOXIC (0-0)

- Twisted Sixs turned Here For Beer turned Toxic, well kinda,  with some Free Agents, we're not sure what we'll get. N/A
